Our Program
On the whole, there are four target populations. The first part of the program aims at helping young people between the ages of 20 and 40 who hail from the Volta Region and are college-bound, or with a first degree, by providing scholarships or financial assistance for their education in local or foreign universities.
The second part of the program focuses on catering to or helping with the language need of 2 groups, immigrants and refugees, who intend to live in America but have no knowledge of English or are ill-equipped with it to efficiently operate in American society.
Lastly, the third part of the program targets the young people of Francophone countries in West Africa who are in dire need of English as a second language to brighten their economic and educational horizons. The criteria for eligibility requirements must be successful completion of high school, potential academic promise, and evidence of economic need.
Education is the leading service being provided in the 3-pronged mission. We strongly believe that only education is the key to alleviating human economic woes to some extent. All the activities and services of the program are educational, directly given by Academic Rescue for the underprivileged, or indirectly provided through colleges and universities. Those who will receive the benefits include the brainy-but-needy, college-bound students of the Volta Region of Ghana, between 20 and 40 years; immigrants and refugees who come to live in the United States of America without English language skills or are ill-equipped to function efficiently in America will be taught English in their premises or ours, and they will be taught English as a second language. The young people of French-speaking countries of West Africa will virtually be taught English as a second language on the students’ premises at a focal point
