Saving Brainy But Needy Kids

About the founder

Billson Kettey, the founder of our organization, was born to farmer parents who never went to school. However, Billson deeply understands the importance of education and the impact it can make on children living in abject poverty. Born and raised on a cattle ranch in Ghana, Billson started herding his father’s cattle at the age of 7, until he turned 15 when he went to the first grade.

Our Work

We are committed to helping Brainy but Needy Students in Africa, precisely in the Volta Region of Ghana.

We also serve the language need of immigrants and refugees who have just arrived in the United States of America without the knowledge of the English language or are ill-equipped with the English language skills.

How we work
Whether the challenge is low-yield crops in Africa or gender-based barriers in India, we listen and learn so we can identify pressing problems that get too little attention. Then we consider whether we can make a meaningful difference with our influence and our investments.
Once an investment is established through a grant or contract, our program teams and grantees collaborate for its lifecycle. See the process in detail below.
